Sophie Ellis Bextor was back in the news during lockdown by performing a series of live streams from her very own home. These reminded people of her joyous, dancefloor-friendly sound, especially her epic 2000s hit 'Groovejet' (If This Ain't Love). Defected capitalized on this with a huge double pack of remixes from contemporaries such as Purple Disco Machine and Riva Starr. The original track holds its own amongst all the remixes and frankly remains unsurpassed, but Harvey Sutherland does an excellent job of updating it with cool jazz-funk bass and chords.
