Skatman presents his upcoming double EP “Believin’” on Cognitive Prophecy

Tunisian-born, Berlin-based DJ, producer, and label curator Skatman kicks off the year with the release of his highly anticipated double EP, “Believin’,” set to drop on January 10th via his acclaimed Cognitive Prophecy (CP Records) label. Known for his genre-defying sets and productions, Skatman continues to shape the sonic landscape of contemporary electronic music with this bold release.

“Believin’” serves as a testament to Skatman’s evolution as an artist, consistently pushing boundaries with collections that span multiple genres. This double EP is structured as a journey, blending hypnotic grooves, raw textures, and dreamy harmonies across seven tracks that flow effortlessly from the dancefloor to introspective listening.

The EP opens with “Fresh,” a raw, dark, broken-beat, industrial offering that introduces Skatman’s sonic vision. It then melts into the pulsating energy of “Merci,” a track that juxtaposes minimalist melodies with richly textured layers. “Feel It” brings a touch of 90s house, while the EP’s namesake track, “Still Believin’,” featuring Hungarian singer Gianet, acts as an anchor with its soul-stirring vocals and hypnotic rhythms.

On the second half, “Forget It” shifts the tone with slightly acidic elements, while “Dream On” delivers an epic blend of cinematic melodies, soaring vocals, and icy hi-hats. The EP concludes with “Circle of Despair (Epilogue Beatless Version),” an ambient and meditative piece that leaves the listener in a reflective state.
