Serge Devant - Hush Hush EP [Crosstown Rebels

The talented American Serge Devant makes a welcome return to Crosstown Rebels with the three-track "Hush Hush" EP. Damian Lazarus' flagship imprint is familiar ground for the NYC talent, where he has had several acclaimed appearances.

Serge spoke about how each track took shape: "This EP has been crafted over the course of seven years, representing different times in my life and my musical state. 'Flashback' has been on hold since 2015, 'Hush Hush' comes from the pandemic archives, and 'Hot Circuit' is the newest of them all. It feels like this release has something to please everyone. "Flashback," featuring the collaboration of Forrest, kicks off the show, with gentle pulses coexisting alongside throbbing synth tones and Forrest's echoing vocals throughout. The piece has a comforting effect, making it suitable for both sunrise and sunset moments, while maintaining enough power to be perfect material on the dance floor. Then comes "Hot Circuit," which takes the form of a full-fledged club cut, packed with Ibiza-ready beats and deep basslines, while "Hush Hush" continues in an equally energetic vein to close out the EP with a techy flourish.
