Saucy Lady & U-KEY Feat. Omar - I Can’t Shake This Feeling [Dippin' Records]

A modernized boogie disco version of Klique's 80s classic, featuring vocals by Boston-native Saucy Lady and legendary British talent Omar, all carefully produced by Yuki Kanesaka as musical director and producer, alongside Saucy Lady on arrangements. The track not only includes a full live brass and string section with musicians from Japan and Boston, but also features Curtis Williams of Kool & the Gang on alto saxophone, and David Frank from the mega-duo The System on Oberheim and Moog synthesizers, adding that authentic boogie touch. Piano overdubs were performed by another production and engineering icon, Carl Beatty, a studio pioneer behind major label R&B artists during the 70s, 80s, and 90s, including Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Melba Moore, Mass Production, and many more. All of this shapes the groove blend that the funk universe urgently needs.

On the flip side, acclaimed French producer and DJ Young Pulse offers a new vision of the original track, with added vocal layers by himself and an approach closer to broken beat and house, breathing new life into this classic with an energy that will undoubtedly get dancefloors grooving.
