While some will say that everything is about computers these days, at Turbo we know in our hearts that everything in life can be understood as a funhouse mirror. Sascha Funke’s massive 2017 hit, “MZ,” is one of the most iconic house records ever released on our label, and for that it deserves the highest honor: a remix package that reflects each of the many facets of a modern dancefloor classic from the most prestigious and respected angles imaginable.

As the most assiduous Turbo observers will no doubt have noticed*, we have privileged access to the halls of European power, where deals can be struck behind closed doors with Emmanuel Macron and "British Seinfeld" while Opus’s “Live is Life” blares from a gigantic Bluetooth speaker. And yes, you’ll probably run into some of the most celebrated European producers of our time: Pional, Axel Boman, Mano Le Tough, and Roman Flügel — names you only see once you reach the highest levels of success, whether producing dance music or buying the most coveted tickets on your favorite mobile device.

We called on these titans to enshrine “MZ” in the modern pantheon of club anthems, and you can bet your last eurobond that they more than delivered. But we also wanted new blood, so we turned to rising Lithuanian star DJ JM. JM is now deep within the Turbo family, and has completely made his own the theoretical space between rebellious cousin and beloved nephew with what we hope Rolling Stone Magazine will call “a distinctly modern touch.”
