Following a string of outstanding releases on labels such as Pleasure Zone Digital and Rawax Digital, SameSame – the German duo comprising Daniel Gorziza and Zonker – now appear on the Dutch imprint Memoria Recordings.

The offering leans towards dark, psychedelic, and trippy realms, with a comforting nostalgia that references not only contemporary tech-house but also formative-era trance and early progressive house. First up is the cosmic, acid-laden urgency of “Give ME Some Extra,” followed by the weighty, gurgling tweaks of the TB-303, dense basslines, and intergalactic aesthetic of “Tent Lights.”

On the B-side, “Moon Phrase” pays homage to both hallucinogenic 90s trance and ambient techno, while “There Is No Light” treads more recognisable tech-house ground.
