Rupert Hartick made a strong impression with his debut on Pleasure Zone in 2022, and keen-eared listeners might have caught his release on Konfus last year. Now he takes the leap to the unstoppable Rawax with a four-track EP of sophisticated tech house, crafted for the discerning listener.

"Sweet Dreams" has a wandering, almost hallucinatory quality, enhanced by amorphous synth tones shimmering over a winding, languid rhythm. "Wiggle System" is a completely different proposition, marked by meandering electro with a more relaxed character. "Smokin Kims" also builds from electro, but presents a very different approach to synths, which warp and twist through exquisite sound design. "Leftback" maintains the thoughtful and original approach Hartick develops throughout the EP, while also offering a new perspective on his productions, more focused on fragile percussion and effect manipulation.
