Roy Rosenfeld - Forgotten / Hello [Early Morning]

Following the September 2024 launch of his new record label, Early Morning, Guy J sets the stage for its second release: a captivating two-track concept by acclaimed producer Roy Rosenfeld.

Roy, an artist whose productions often transcend genre barriers, presents nearly 17 minutes of material with an imaginative work that commands attention and reflects creative depth.

The opening track, "Forgotten," evolves with measured intensity, layering elements that cultivate a ritualistic atmosphere. The arrangement unfolds through indigenous percussive influences, steadily progressing toward a resonant climax. In the third act, deep, rich chords mark the experience with a sense of calm, only to give way to a melodic interlude followed by a tribal-rhythm-inspired crescendo.

Equally captivating, the closing track, "Hello," kicks off with a lo-fi aesthetic inspired by 80s arcade games, contrasted with high-fidelity beats. Driven by ethnic percussion, it evokes the raw energy of ancient rituals, conjuring primal images of shamans dancing around a fire to honor the cycles of life.

Here, Rosenfeld fuses traditional, futuristic, and vintage synth elements in a call to his fellow producers, challenging them to innovate while empowering dancers to embrace nights of hedonistic freedom.
