Big congratulations to Detroit's Rocksteady Disco, an incredibly consistent label that has reached the respectable age of ten. To celebrate, they are releasing a series of anniversary EPs featuring new tracks from their roster of artists. Regulars Sol Power All Stars kick things off with Solsibisa, an explosive, off-kilter Afro-house track, loaded with powerful horn sections, frantic drum machine rhythms, a vibrant synth bass, and immersive vocal fragments. Then, Eddie Logix combines slightly slowed-down vocal samples from First Choice with bursts of Balearic guitar and a refined deep house touch in 2nd Choice (It’s Still Not Over). On the flip side, Blair French brings summer vibes with the joy of Whispers of You, a deep house track with Latin touches, while Topher Horn opts for dense drums (acoustic and electronic), minimalist melodic motifs, and a strong bassline in Gratiot Dub.
