Robert Hood - Art Project [M-Plant]

Art is a term often associated with the work of Robert Hood, and the upcoming M-Plant vinyl release brings together his recent digital releases: March's single Art Form and April's double release Art Class / Art School, making up the Art Project EP.

The acid Art Form is Hood's first techno release since 2024's Alpha Key EP. The minimal techno pioneer continues to demonstrate his mastery with Art Class, which follows the acid path heard in Art Form but delves even deeper. Meanwhile, Art School, on the B-side, brings sci-fi sounds and a forceful atmospheric power.

Robert Hood has said about his M-Plant label:
“M-Plant is what I always wanted to hear: a basic, stripped-down, raw sound. Just drums, basslines, and funky grooves, only the essentials. Only what’s essential to get people moving. I started to see it as a science, the art of making people move their ass, speaking to their heart, mind, and soul. It's a rhythmic, heartfelt, and soulful techno sound. M-Plant is simply M. minimal.”
