Riva Starr presents Hyperloop - In The Loop [Truesoul]

Truesoul celebrates its 100th release with a masterful offering from Riva Starr’s new project, Hyperloop.

Over its 15-year existence, Truesoul has carved out a niche by providing a platform for the more dancefloor-friendly end of the techno spectrum, featuring releases from artists such as Maetrik and Cirez D, through to Hot Since 82, Reset Robot and of course, label founder and head honcho, Adam Beyer.

With his new techno-focused project, Hyperloop, Riva Starr becomes the latest respected artist to join the imprint. Lead track ‘Resilience’ is crisp and punchy, and instantly noticeable for the 90s influenced house strings that run throughout. When Beyer dropped it in his recent Sonus Festival daytime set, it was an emotive highlight moment. ‘Fallen Angel’ revolves around a sublime piano melody and is the kind of composition tailor-made for a blissful morning set. Offering an effective contrast to the original, man of the moment, Tiger Stripes follows his excellent ‘Body Trip’ EP with a powerful percussive take on ‘Fallen Angel’, injecting his version with an Arabic flavoured vocal.
