Stefan Schwander's Repeat Orchestra presents "Infamous Lost Tracks", an album that appears out of nowhere, coming from spheres where time, space and zeitgeist are just words.

With the Repeat Orchestra, Schwander (who is also Harmonious Thelonious, A Rocket In Dub, Antonelli and much more) found a unique way to channel deep house music, a minimal set-up and an idea of creating pleasurable music into incredible tracks that sound so effortless and natural. From the first track, "Call And Response", it's obvious that the main thing this album is about is rhythm, sometimes euphoric, sometimes rather understated but always irresistible, built from massive bass lines, complex beats and the masterful execution of repetition and modulation. Warm harmonies, multilayered (sometimes rather unusual ("Nightdubbing")) melodies and subtle arrangements complete these Infamous Lost Tracks and their own formula between Düsseldorf, Chicago and Lagos. There's nothing aggressive about this music, no aggression, but it's still far from tame or quiet: the pulsating energy of "A Means To An End" or the subtle and sublime liquid shuffle of "Less Sensational" show the rhythm and the force within these works that are made for delight but not for pleasing.
