Rene Wise returns to Dustin Zahn’s Enemy Records with a hard-hitting follow-up to his 2022 label debut, Jungle House. On Deprivation, the Moving Pressure artist delivers 4 undeniable, head-down techno grooves, true to his signature style.

Minimalism is at the core of the A-side. Anxiety and Insomnia are stripped-back and psychedelic. Both maintain consistent arrangements that allow more subtle details to shine. Each track is completed with Rene’s signature ethereal synths and effects over firm, unwavering grooves.

In a slight departure from his usual grooves, the B-side delves into uncharted territory while remaining aligned with the A-side's atmosphere. Sakar centers on a pulsating, tension-laden synth line in constant flux. Meanwhile, on Cutting Thick, staccato basslines and percussive hits merge to form the record's funkiest moment.
