Originally championed by Gilles Peterson on BBC Radio 1 in the early 2000s, 'Dust' is now a cult favorite, celebrated for its ability to bridge genres and for gracing dancefloors worldwide. Its warm groove, with Joe Dukie's unmistakable vocals and Recloose's distinctive production, cemented it as an underground classic. Dallas Tamaira, who occasionally releases under the alias Joe Dukie, is primarily known as the vocalist for the New Zealand band Fat Freddy’s Drop.

A pioneering figure in the Detroit electronic scene, Recloose (aka Matt Chicoine) burst onto the scene in the late 90s with the support of techno legend Carl Craig, releasing on Planet E and later forging a deep connection with New Zealand's vibrant soul and jazz community. His music fuses house, funk, and broken beat with a distinctive warmth and musicality that have made him a trusted name for generations of selectors.

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, 'Dust' is reissued with a remix package from some of the scene's most prominent curators. Natasha Diggs brings her refined New York soulful touch, while Aroop Roy adds his global dancefloor vision. With these two new remixes alongside the original track and the acapella version, 'Dust' is ready to captivate a new generation of listeners.
