You Are Safe – a title illustrating the safe haven Keinemusik has built for themselves over the past eight years. This self-determined sphere of action belongs to DJ/producers Rampa, &ME, and Adam Port; Reznik, who prefers the DJ booth to the studio; and painter and visual artist Monja Gentschow. At the same time, it’s an invitation to every listener: put on your headphones, dance in your living room, let go, and forget everything around you. When this plays, you are safe.

After the label's catalog had mostly consisted of EPs, the desire recently emerged to release an album. Not a solo album by one of the label's producers like &ME, Rampa, or Adam Port, but a joint collaboration. Something that logically continues Keinemusik's annual Workparty releases. Only this time, it's bigger, with combined effort and the chance to explore the potential of a broader release space. Primarily, it's a breather to step away from dancefloor-centric norms for a bit and an opportunity to highlight stylistic and sonic scenes that smaller releases can't encompass.

Make no mistake: the sonic core of this record is conceived as a series of tracks that elaborate what Keinemusik stands for and will undoubtedly set the tone on dancefloors around the world in the coming months. Tracks like Civilist, which glides through a charged atmosphere, releasing energy in extended drum solos. Muyè, which, in a minor key, touches on the wide range of emotions, or MBH, which, despite its tribal rhythm and monastic chants, along with the eccentric use of distorted guitars, would easily fit into any peaktime set. But alongside these, you'll find numerous unexpected stylistic exercises. A state-of-the-art R'n'B dream like Up And Down with Chiara Noriki, a Berlin-based singer living in London who you'll hear more from in the future. The retro Wave-influenced sound in Lover with Jennifer Touch, an exceptional artist with whom Adam Port has already collaborated on several tracks. Guilt Trip, an emotional climax that moves away from the conventional 4/4 beat. A quirky, meditative jam like Operator, or the irresistible homage to Stevie B, Bumper, with Nomi Ruiz, who has been the voice of Keinemusik's NR& project and is known for her work with Jessica 6 and as a former member of Hercules and Love Affair.

That said, You Are Safe combines club practicality with home listening pleasure like no other Keinemusik release before, and elevates the collective's sound signature and stylistic expression to a higher level.
