Radio Slave - Venti Remixes Vol. 1 (Solomun / CASSIMM Remixes) [Rekids]

Solomun and CASSIMM remix two of the tracks from Radio Slave's Venti album, released earlier this year.

Diynamic boss and Ibiza titan Solomun remixes Radio Slave’s The Lunatics on Rekids, following the inclusion of the original version on Matt Edwards’ acclaimed Venti album back in May. The original version, a reimagining in itself, reinterpreted Fun Boy Three’s 1981 track The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum, being an homage from Edwards to the band's late vocalist and The Specials frontman Terry Hall. This version earned support from the likes of Saoirse, Erol Alkan, Jennifer Cardini, Laurent Garnier, Paul Woolford, and Honey Dijon.
Solomun’s remix of The Lunatics is a dazzling aural nostalgia trip executed with pure joy. With crisp 80s drums, Stranger Things-esque Jupiter 8 synths, vocoder-titled vocals, and a rich, sliding bassline, the track transports the listener back to 1983 in the best way possible. As the track progresses, stimulating guitars are incorporated, completing what is a hypnotic and melodic journey into the 80s, which promises to become a 2024 anthem.

CASSIMM’s remix of Radio Slave vs Audion’s Mouth To Mouth continues the story of Matthew Dear’s classic, which Radio Slave revived and reinvented as part of his 2024 album Venti.
Radio Slave’s hi-NRG disco take on Audion’s era-defining 2006 minimal/maximal classic has dominated dance floors since it came out as a single in late 2023, with the likes of Erol Alkan, Job Jobse, Sean Johnston, Jennifer Cardini, and Eats Everything consistently playing it, with the latter bestowing it with the title of Essential New Tune whilst standing in for Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1.
Now, recent Rekids signee CASSIMM continues his run of form with a robust, main room house rendition that showcases why his recent release, House of Moves, received support from the likes of Tong, Arielle Free, Paul Woolford, Honey Dijon, and Jennifer Loveless.
CASSIMM’s remix of Radio Slave vs Audion comes hot on the heels of Lindstrom and Solomun’s remixes of Venti album tracks, which have seen support from the likes of Ivan Smagghe, Chloé Caillet, Nightmares On Wax, and more.
