Radio Slave feat. Cagedbaby - Amnesia (Lindstrøm Remixes) [Rekids]

Lindstrøm remixes Radio Slave ft Cagedbaby’s ‘Amnesia’. The first remix package from Radio Slave’s ‘Venti’ LP features a remix and an instrumental version from the Norwegian artist.

A key single in the anticipation of Radio Slave’s ‘Venti’ LP, the distinctive Balearic cut ‘Amnesia’, which was the sound of Pikes in 2023, is remixed by Norwegian nu-disco pioneer Lindstrøm following the LP’s release in May. The original version saw Matt Edwards collaborate with long-standing partner Cagedbaby, aka Tom Gandey, to create a celestial sunset track which gained support from the likes of David Holmes, Sean Johnston, Jennifer Cardini, Peter Kruder and Perel.

On the ‘Amnesia’ remix package, Lindstrøm turns the downtempo breakbeat of the Radio Slave and Cagedbaby original into a more upbeat groove with tinges of 80s & 90s Euro-Dance in its piano breakdown and an acid-drenched guitar bassline. The Norwegian artist, known for his frequent collaborations with Prins Thomas and outstanding nu-disco work, retains the original version’s sultry vocal, thoughtfully removed in the instrumental mix for those looking for a party-starting tool in this evocative Ibiza homage.
