We are back at Celestial Echo Records and kicking off 2026 with one of the most essential 7 inches of the year.

CER009 finally brings back Pumphouse Gang – “Welcome Back Into My Life” to the 7-inch format, an absolute gem of Irish modern soul from 1979. Originally pressed in minimal quantities and barely circulated outside Dublin, it is one of those records that rarely become available. A favorite of label boss Miche, in his words it is “an unbeatable soul track, which really fills the dance floor with smiles.”

On the B-side, Medlar returns to the fray, this time sending his mix directly from the Cayman Islands: a dub reinterpretation, Part 2 style, that extends the groove, plays with the rhythm and gives the track a second life for late-night dance floors.

As always, Celestial Echo thoroughly explores the forgotten corners of soul and disco, unearthing some of the best soul records and giving them a new lease on life. Each release is carefully remastered and presented with the respect these recordings deserve.
