Laurent Garnier '33 T.E.P.S.V. Remixes'

This summer, Laurent Garnier announced the release of his latest landmark album. The new LP proved why he is such a vital force with a series of cuts that distilled his 30+ years of experience into cutting edge electronic music full of tension and release. Now he continues to prove he operates at the cutting edge with this standout selection of remixers.

Solid UK techno representative Works Of Intent, previously known as R.O.S.H., kicks off with his Farewell remix of ‘Reviens La Nuit’, a dark, pulsing techno sound with cosmic big screen chords and haunting modulations. Romantic techno master Voltaire then transforms ‘Tales From The Real World’ into a glistening melodic excursion with arpeggios tumbling down the track and sparkling synths illuminating the electro rhythms.

Next up is 22Carbone, who feature on the original album but here remix ‘In Your Phase’ into a filthy broken beat stepper with forceful vocals and twisted metal textures alongside eerie mic work. Rocco Rodamaal has 30 years of experience and is one of the few veterans who remains genuinely relevant today. He offers two versions of ‘Liebe Grüße aus Cucuron’ – a smooth and deep extended techno journey and an effervescent Keys Mix steeped in melodic charm.

New Wave techno star from New York, Anthony Cardinale, aka Avision, lights up his remix of ‘Le Swing Du Pouletto’ with radiant, upbeat synths and a dark, brooding bassline. He later brings plenty of marching menace and building synth tension to his version of ‘Liebe Grüße aus Cucuron’. Reshit’s take on ‘On the Record’ offers a dreamy ambient soundscape with downtempo breaks and expansive prog-rock style synths. The Limiñanas are Lionel and Marie Limiñana, a couple based in the deep south of France who record garage, psychedelia and pop music and previously joined Garnier on the hit album "De Pelicula". They offer a long and short remix of ‘Saturn Drive’ which in their hands is a grubby post-punk gem with raw drums and lewd guitars creating walls of reverbed sound.

This sophisticated selection of techno remixes brings whole new emotions and dancefloor moments of brilliance to Laurent Garnier’s excellent originals.
