Following last year’s release of Deep Heet Vol. 5, UK techno pioneer Luke Slater, committed to forward-thinking and provocative sound, is joined by a host of esteemed names to reassemble tracks from across his extensive Planetary Assault Systems back catalogue, both classic and recent.

Reassembled includes outstanding contributions from longtime Ostgut Ton label mate Len Faki, techno maestro Chlär, DJ favourite Rene Wise, Spanish heavyweight Oscar Mulero, and Slater himself.

With driving kicks, hypnotic vocals and a subtle acid wink, Berlin techno heavyweight Len Faki delivers his reinterpretation of Give It Up. Chlär reimagines Strange Attractor, deftly intertwining eerie sonic elements and swirling vocals. In a second reinterpretation of Give It Up, Len Faki turns up the heat with a stepped-up, urgent version that resonates with force. He is followed by Oscar Mulero, who intervenes the timeless sounds of Surface Noise with his usual precision. Rene Wise delves into deeper, darker, and less conventional territories with his take on Raid, a 2017 track by Slater. Mulero doubles down with a second version of Surface Noise, rawer, more chaotic, and experimental. Centered almost exclusively on the percussive elements of the original track, it achieves a reimagined elegance.

Slater closes out the release with three tracks of his own: Rip The Keys, a brighter, houseier take on techno; Desert Races, transformed into a fast-paced, direct dance floor cut; and Engage Now To Surface, which plunges into distorted depths to conclude the sonic journey.
