Monumental House anthem alert! Another 1992 classic pulled straight from the Strictly archives. This track is HUGE. Phuture, otherwise known as acid house pioneers Spanky and DJ Pierre (with a little help from Roy Davis JR), deliver an energetic, acid monster in true Wild Pitch style. Probably the only record to start with an ominous voice saying “This is cocaine speaking” before launching full tilt into one of the greatest anti-drug House tracks of all time. Absolutely brilliant.

Bubbling 303 basslines and cavernous claps combine with a funk and dub synth line that never quits. Phuture will survive, and they weren’t lying when they said it, because this record (amongst many others they were involved in) still hits today. Yes, still fresh. Tried and tested, often imitated, never bettered. Phuture are the originals. Open your eyes (and ears).
