Peter Thomas is widely recognized as Germany's most inventive film composer of the 1960s and 1970s, famous for his iconic soundtrack work. He composed music for over 600 films and episodes, from the Jerry Cotton and Edgar Wallace crime blockbusters to indie films like Playgirl, Bruce Lee's The Big Boss, and the extraterrestrial Space Patrol and Chariot of the Gods.

His library music recordings took an even more experimental approach. His ahead-of-its-time vision and "dope beats" piqued the interest of vinyl collectors, beatmakers, and rare groove DJs alike. Originally intended for professional use only, these albums have become coveted collector's items that fetch astronomical prices on the second-hand market.

This double 10" features the definitive selection of Thomas' best library tracks from the Golden Ring Records, KPM, and DeWolfe catalogs, many of them available to the public for the first time, along with four "lost" tracks recently rescued from the Warner Chappell's CPM archive, never before released on vinyl. All music was carefully transferred from Peter Thomas' private master tapes and mastered with full dynamics, presented in a beautiful gatefold sleeve with liner notes and personal photos. The compilation was made in collaboration with Philip, Peter Thomas' son, who manages the Peter Thomas Sound Orchester catalog after his father's passing in 2020.
