pdqb - Wetware Unveiled [Synaptic Cliffs]

Bad news: Very little is known about pdqb, and what little we do know is probably incorrect or simply made up. The man credited with these productions is said to have lost his mind after being possessed by an alien parasite. His whereabouts remain a mystery.

Good news: Fortunately, Synaptic Cliffs possesses about a dozen releases from whoever – or whatever – is hiding behind this enigmatic abbreviation, and will be releasing them all… because they are absolutely incredible.

With the original tapes for this Mini-LP, pdqb left a fragmented note in the 90s stating that he had decoded eight tracks originally produced with the NCO6.27 for test subjects who received some strange type of brain implant. According to him, this way certain “wetware” could be revealed, and he claimed to have carried out this research long before developing a machine capable of infiltrating the dreams of everyone who has ever lived.

However, the music could best be described as a playful yet dark combination of old-school Techno, Electro, and Industrial, fused with Chiptune, IDM/Braindance, and Electronica. All of this, pressed on beautiful green splattered vinyl.

The first 150 buyers will receive a complimentary leftover flexi disc from the 80s with two exclusive tracks composed by pdqb while he worked for Silvio Berlusconi's production company Mediaset. This flexi was originally included in the November 1985 issue of Playboy Italia (cover: Grace Jones) and is an extremely coveted item.
