Paul Older is the man behind Disco Mind Records, and after a brief hiatus, he and the label are back with a bang. These two outstanding cuts are the result of a deep digging trip, where he uncovered two vintage marvels that have been expertly restored for modern dancefloors, without losing the raw grit and authenticity that makes old songs so appealing. "The Venetian Girl (Marisa)" kicks off strong, with huge trumpets and big Philly-style percussion immediately bringing to mind the legendary Studio 54, and then "Up" is a big party track with funky elements to liven up the floor.
