Marking their 51st release, long-time label collaborator and friend Owain K returns to 200 with a new 4-track solo EP titled Kinematic Equations.

Having joined 200 in 2012 with the Colonius EP, much has happened since. With over 50 releases on the label, plus Owain has created his own blog and label under the name Innate. However, some things remain: mutual friendship, a shared love for underground electronic music, and Kölsch.

15 years later, the Welsh-rooted and Bristol (UK)-based artist delivers one of his best works to date with Kinematic Equations. A four-track journey into astral electronics that intertwines his vision of deep space sounds, fused with a solid dose of dub aesthetics that is very aligned with the essence of the label.

Starting with the rhythmic pulse of Axial Shifts on the A-side, chords progressively take shape as the intensity rises and falls, always maintaining a measured trajectory. Floating in the ether, Open Cluster fills the space where heavy sub-bass meets filtered percussion and a round 909 kick, accompanied by dreamy atmospheres and shimmering delays.

On the B-side, Eta Aquarid traces a powerful journey with a mechanical rumble and evolving pads that burst with force throughout the track. Last but not least, the magical aura of Ghost Of Jupiter appears: a fusion of shimmering melodies floating over a robust low-end and constant percussion, bringing the EP to a perfect close.
