There are many unknowns surrounding the man who founded and still runs the R&S label, but the music he releases remains essential. This time around, it's a reissue that excites us, bringing to the forefront the 1991 debut EP by Belgian artist Marcos Salon, also known as The Outlander. This visceral five-track delivery revolves around direct, high-impact techno for the dance floor, with dramatic synth developments and relentless drums. Often considered one of the smartest rave releases R&S put out in that period, it still fits perfectly today, with artists like Ben UFO not hesitating to turn to the classics.
