German House artist Oliver Dollar announces his LP ‘Contemporary’ on Rekids, set to be released on November 21, 2025. Since 2024, he has released four EPs on Radio Slave’s label, featuring collaborations with over a dozen artists and singer-songwriters, supported by names like Dam Swindle, Louie Vega, Honey Dijon, Hunee, Kai Alce, among others.

Since 2011, Oliver Dollar, founder of the Industry Standard label, has established himself as a trusted name in House. He was a key driver of the Fidget subgenre in Berlin at its peak, leading to releases on labels such as Snatch!, Classic Music Company, and Defected, as well as building a reputation as a high-profile collaborator working with artists like Crazy P, Mousse T, and Todd Edwards. In ‘Contemporary,’ he reinforces this collaborative spirit, bringing together a transatlantic cast of friends and colleagues, connecting Berlin and Detroit through a shared vision of House.

The album opens with ‘The New Is Here,’ where Oliver Dollar joins Nils Ohrman to deliver a soulful sermon that sets the tone with warmth and weight, previously reinterpreted in a club-oriented dub version for ‘Contemporary Part Four.’ From there, the mood shifts to ‘Downtown’ with Phil WZK, a deep, jazz-infused groove, sustained by a spoken word monologue that feels intimate and timeless. Vocalists such as APROPOS, Boog Brown, and Billy Love bring soul and gospel energy, while producers like ADMN, Seven Davis Jr., Harvard Bass, Brillstein, and Austin Ato build grooves ranging from disco-tinged uplift to deep and dubby hypnotism. More than just a collection of collaborations, the album flows as a unified statement: a celebration of community, connection, and the timeless energy of House.

Founded in 2006, Radio Slave's Rekids label launched Rekids Special Projects in 2017, focusing on Techno, and in 2024 its newest sublabel, REK’D. With Matt Edwards as the sole A&R, Rekids has been key in developing new talent and remains a definitive home for House and related sounds, recently hosting artists such as Hilit Kolet, Tal Fussman, Frankey & Sandrino, Mathias Kaden, Huxley, and many more.
