Nørbak - Ferramenta EP [PoleGroup]

More Portuguese power on our label, this time from Nørbak, one of the most in-form music producers in the neighboring country. Throughout his relatively short career, he has developed a very personal style, always evolving and changing, technically perfect in each delivery.

Regra is the first track on this EP, dynamic filtered sequences grow in the first bars until the rhythm is fully revealed. The real value of this track is the arrangement, with minimal ingredients Nørbak manages to make things constantly twist and change, the structure is key here. His unique style.

Ferramenta picks up the tempo a bit, again starting with filtered elements and progressively adding electrified sequences at the top of the frequency range, while sub-bass grows at the bottom of the spectrum. Expertly designed drones and atmospheres add a floating feel to the main rhythm.

Flipping the vinyl, Amarante, another solid proposal created with expertly processed rhythms, complex chords and a deep focus on sound design that perfectly complements the dynamic and danceable feel of the other components.

The last track, Nota, is simpler in terms of elements, a kick drum is the main piece to start, soon accompanied by a metallic textured Fm synth line and, as always, expert percussion programming over a constantly evolving arrangement.
