Nick Curly - Come Right Back EP [Cecille]

Nick Curly presents his two-track EP Come Right Back via Cécille Records, the label he shares with Marc Scholl, at the end of March.

Hailing from Mannheim, Germany, Nick Curly has been a prominent figure in the underground house scene for two decades. He began by making his mark with 8bit, the label he co-founded with Gorge, renowned for defining the distinctive Mannheim house sound. Since then, Curly has released music on labels such as Knee Deep In Sound, Truesoul, Defected, Cocoon, and of course, Cécille, where he returns with this new material.

The title track, Come Right Back, opens the EP with Nick’s signature drum groove, combined with a filtered disco loop, a dynamic bassline, and choppy stab sequences, resulting in a six-and-a-half-minute track focused on the dance floor.

Arkum, meanwhile, explores deeper, darker territories, fusing organic percussion and raw bass stabs with tension-filled strings and spoken vocal fragments. The result is a loop-driven peak-time tool, subtly and effectively unfolding.
