Nick Curly - Come Right Back [Cecille]

Nick Curly presents the two-track 'Come Right Back' EP via Cécille Records, the label he shares with Marc Scholl, at the end of March.

Mannheim, Germany’s Nick Curly has been at the forefront of the underground House scene for two decades, initially marking his presence with the 8bit imprint, which he founded with Gorge, and is known for defining the distinctive Mannheim House sound. Curly has released music on labels such as Knee Deep In Sound, Truesoul, Defected, Cocoon and, of course, Cécille, where he returns with this new material.

The title track 'Come Right Back' opens the EP and features Nick's signature swinging drum groove, interwoven with a filtered disco loop, a vibrant bassline, and chopped stab sequences, creating a six-and-a-half-minute dancefloor-focused piece.

Then, 'Arkum' delves into deeper and darker realms, fusing organic percussion and raw bass hits with tense strings and spoken vocal snippets, to create a loop-driven, subtly unfolding peak-time tool.
