Two of electronic music’s most recognisable names link up once again, as Nic Fanciulli makes his return to the mighty Rekids label.

Fanciulli has long been one of house music’s most pivotal figures. His Saved Records is one of the go-to destinations for innovative sounds, thanks to both his own music and his astute A&R work with many other talents. Over the years, his releases have explored all facets of house and techno, while he has played the world’s most important clubs and festivals. This is his third appearance on Rekids following 12”s in 2019 and 2020, and it might just be the best one yet.

The stylish and seductive sounds of “On My Mind” open with catchy, looped vocals, disco tinged house beats, and a seriously positive energy. Funk basslines and innovative samples make this a fun, characterful and warm groove that is sure to keep crowds locked and hands in the air. The brilliant “U Gotta” is another track loaded with classic references, but with a modern twist. It is built on carefully layered, teasing and expectant pads, sustained strings and a low slung bass, all contrasted by diva vocals and crowd atmospherics. When the drop kicks in, it’s the kind of tune that ignites real euphoria on the floor.
