NEZ, scHoolboy Q, Moodymann - CLR 002 [CircoLoco]

The next offering from the Circoloco Records imprint (the collaborative project from Rockstar Games and nightlife icons CircoLoco) is a 3-track EP spearheaded by Chicago-born, LA-based artist and producer, NEZ.

One half of production duo NEZ and Rio – responsible for hits including ScHoolboy Q’s ‘Man of the Year’ and A$AP Rocky’s ‘Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2’ – NEZ has carved a unique path for himself, drawing on his hometown of Chicago and the sounds and styles of Los Angeles, fusing elements of house, hip-hop, R&B, and electro into a sound all his own. Moving between genres and scenes with ease, NEZ has worked with artists ranging from Felix da Housecat to Theophilus London, 8AE, and many more across the musical spectrum.

With 4x4 drum programming, plenty of flair, and some very special guests, including Moodymann, Three 6 Mafia’s Gangsta Boo, and longtime collaborator ScHoolboy Q, this 3-track EP has the potential to land in a number of different spaces, reflecting the genre-agnostic approach that has made CircoLoco one of the world’s most important dancefloors, a hub for new DJ and producer talent, and a meeting point between fashion and dance culture that has drawn the world’s most sought-after tastemakers to Ibiza for over 20 years.
