King Street Sounds returns with the fifth sampler in the series. This installment brings together four releases from six house aficionados such as Mood II Swing, DJ Romain, Jon Cutler, Studio Apartment, Quentin Harris, and Pal Joey under his Loop Trick alias.

The EP kicks off with “Driving Me Crazy” by New York duo Mood II Swing, originally released in 1995 and, 30 years later, still sounding just as good. This is followed by DJ Romain & Jon Cutler with “De Ja Vu (Mr.V Roots Main Mix),” featuring the hypnotic vocals of Jeannie Hopper; a track made for dimly lit rooms.

Side B opens with “Beat Freak” (The Shelter Dub) by Loop Trick (aka Pal Joey). An already outstanding track that receives a distinguished touch from New York house legends, Blaze.

Closing this wonderful EP is Studio Apartment featuring Terrance Downs with “We Are Lonely” (Quentin Harris Vocal Mix), where the NYC legend brings his delicate signature to the soulful offering from the Japanese duo.

Once again, King Street Sounds delivers a powerful EP that every respectable collector or DJ needs in their repertoire.
