The King of Pop will always be a source of inspiration for DJ edits across a wide range of genres. His material has stood the test of time, even if his persona hasn't, and so now we have a couple of new house remixes of two of his best-known hits. The first is an eight-minute version of "Thriller" that retains much of the original vocals and glimpses of the basslines and melodies but also grooves along like a twisted disco banger à la DJ Harvey. "PYT" (House remix) is closer to the original: a playful, danceable disco gem, with smooth vocals that invite you to move.
