Over the past ten years, Millos Kaiser has earned a solid reputation as a top-tier selector, passionate about bringing the underrated music of his native Brazil to the world. After starting as a punk and indie musician in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, he turned to DJing in the late 2000s and moved to São Paulo. There, he spent a good part of the 2010s enlivening squares, underground and street parties with DJ Trepanado in the duo Selvagem, before co-founding the renowned label Selva Discos in 2017.

Since 2019, Millos has focused his energy on his solo DJ career and new projects as an editor, curator of reissue compilations, co-owner of an audiophile bar, and now also a producer. Planet Trip Records has been a very good friend of Millos for years and is pleased to present his first original release: the EP Te Quero Perto (I Want You Close), available in vinyl and digital formats.

Conceived as a 12” ideal for DJs specializing in 20th-century clubs, Te Quero Perto opens with Millos' original 'club mix' and an instrumental version (digital only). Driven by a mid-80s machine beat, rave pianos, 303 acid bass, and an explosive Brazilian pop vocal by Juju Bonjour, it's a bonafide banger and a masterclass in well-executed retro style.

On the rest of the EP, his European friends Lipelis & Orion Agassi deliver an equally powerful Latin Freestyle remix, available in vocal, dub, and instrumental versions (the latter digital only). To close, fellow Rio producer Paco Cabana shakes up the mix and serves up a sunny, percussion-laden reinterpretation, perfect for savoring. From start to finish, a flawless debut from a generational talent.
