French DJ and producer Mathys Lenne's artistic vision is deeply linked to his connection to rhythm. Telling stories through sound, inspired by poetry and cinema, and combining hypnotic textures with raw intensity, his music has received wide support within the scene, with releases on labels such as Mord, Hayes and more. Across five vinyl cuts and three digital bonuses, this four-deck wizard makes his debut on SHDW's Mutual Rytm label with a deeply atmospheric approach, where he blends elements of psychedelic rock, unique vocal samples and saturated synths to create an immersive and unrestrained sound, in contrast to the visceral, fast-paced techno for which he has become known.

Detlev opens with heavy kick drums that force you to pick up the pace, while industrial effects and an unsettling sound design provide the details that make the track stand out. The elegant Natural Born Killers moves over firm kicks with looped and tense percussive details, keeping you on edge as the drums keep going. Choose Your Pill is a stripped-down, pulsing deep techno piece, with subtle synths breaking away from the groove, before Untidy Echo offers a cavernous sound with scattered hits and deep rumblings that place you in the center of an underground cavern. Enfer ou Ciel, featuring D.E.S, brings a melancholic feel with occasional strings and aquatic drops floating over meditative, frictionless beats, while the trio of digital bonuses offer atmosphere-laden underground cuts, ranging from winding and dub to more percussive and rarefied tones.
