Mathias Schober - Continuing EP [Lossless]

The EP's first track, "The Interesting Things Happens," is built on an irresistible, stoic groove, accompanied by tight, muted guitar and bass, of course. Adding a catchy synth melody and floating layers of guitar that build constant tension, Mathias takes us to an airy breakdown until the electrifying groove finally reappears. This unconventional affair will get the dance floor moving.

Next up, we have "And Life Turns," again built on one of Mathias Schober's tight, signature grooves. "And Life Turns" is led by a truly inspiring sequence, backed by some nasty electric bass sounds. Sublime, dark, slightly twisted, and definitely with the right dose for the peak moment, just the way we like it.

The third track on the EP is slightly different and not aimed at the club. In "Into Something Unique," Mathias invites Alice Rose for a collaboration. Some may remember Mathias' remix for Jaap Lighthart's "I Know Change," which featured Alice's vocals. This particular remix was an excellently crafted production and deservedly stayed with all the key players like Dixon, Âme, Black Coffee, or Sven Väth for some time. In 2016, Alice and Mathias turned some productive studio sessions into something literally "unique." This piece is a truly brilliant, beautiful, and very intense song that completely immerses you in its one-shot performance. The sparse instrumentation in connection with Mathias' careful sound design emphasizes Alice's beautiful voice.
