Mastra - Nanook Part 3: The Sun Also Rises [Sirion]

Mastra, a longtime friend of Sirion Records and a Bern veteran when it comes to electronic music in all its facets, is releasing an extensive work consisting of three independent EPs. It forms a fusion between visual art in the form of cover art and musical creation. Mastra and visual artist Johannes Luna had long planned this fusion, but it was at a clandestine meeting in a pub that they sealed the deal. They philosophized extensively about the connection between visual art and music. It is the abstraction in Mastra's music that inspired Johannes and was ultimately reflected in his art to make this complete work possible. Musically, this project moves in the deep and tech-house realms with influences from Dub, Funk, and Soul genres, combined with the usual lightness of Mastra's production catalog.
