Massano - Telepathic [Drumcode]

One of melodic techno’s biggest breakout stars, Massano, steps up for his debut EP on Drumcode. The ascending Liverpudlian DJ/producer already gave us a taste of his top-tier studio skills with 'Betrayal', his highlight contribution to last year’s Drumcode A-Sides Vol.12 compilation. Massano’s sound hits with huge force, characterised by supercharged sound design and powerful melodic riffs, with key releases on Afterlife and his own Simulate imprint to date. His ‘Telepathic’ EP reinforces why we’re so excited to have him on Drumcode.

The title track is a potent, psy-tinged belter, driven by a low-slung, menacing vocal that adds plenty of atmosphere to the piece. ‘Destructure’ builds around vibrant percussive FX, before euphoric melodic layers intensify the track in the second half. When both elements merge, we’re met with an immense peak-time track that doesn't lose its unique touch. ‘The Method’ is a melodic ace, moving between laser precision dynamics and full throttle bass energy.
