The latest collaboration between Skyra and Martinou for Horoom revels in pause and restraint, seeking additional friction in those lurking stridencies that only emerge through the prolonged. From beginning to end, the release incorporates live percussion recorded by their friend K Bobrov, bringing a human tension to the already unsettling soundscapes of both artists: "So Long" and "Shores Of Easy" traverse dense and bubbling atmospheres alongside Skyra's characteristic electro snaps, while Martinou adds more body with what appear to be slit drums and organic rides on "We Made You" and "Rise."
