The A1 is usually the first impression of each record, so it makes sense that Patience marks the beginning of this eighth release for the Brussels club. A bubbling yet impactful track, Patience moves six minutes in an instant with eccentric percussion and dense low-end. Not afraid to break codes to push his sound while respecting the essence that makes the genre great, Suckut brings years of mastery into play to find balance and space between his elements. This impressive bass rhythm continues in Resurrection, more an exploration of dissonance and texture than its predecessor. With hi-hats spinning across the stereo field through metallic curves and a harmonious kick/bass, the record makes clear the context for which Resurrection is reserved.

Then comes Myth to lighten the load with a positive groove and an extroverted arrangement, maintaining balance on the EP. Complete with subtly modulated and live-played percussion reminiscent of a voice's character, over an almost vintage drum sequence, Myth's persistence finds a middle ground between techno and house, making it a versatile tool for almost any set.

The soul of the EP, however, belongs to its title track, Moments. Appropriately named, this fourth piece concludes Markus Suckut's latest statement for the dance floor. A suspension of time in both structure and melody, the producer takes the time to reveal each element of the track while maintaining a burning interest throughout the entire piece.
