Magic Words, a new project from NYC producers Eli Cohen & Peter Hargarten, debut on RNT with the Wabi Soba EP, a record perfect for summer. If the title track sounds a bit familiar, that’s because it’s been in Harvey’s hands for a while now and has shown up in many of his sets around the world. Built on an emotional and dreamy loop, the track embodies the spirit of Balearica, imbued with Spanish guitar and melancholic, nostalgic harmonies. Jex Opolis from Toronto turns in a stunning remix that keeps all the delicate texture of the original, and carefully places it on top of a pulsing, club-ready foundation of percussion.
