A special tribute edition from Ellum Audio arrives courtesy of Maceo Plex and Jon DaSilva, who rescue a couple of musical gems from the past with their own modern reinterpretations. With the amazing participation of house vocal sensation Joi Cardwell, Ellum presents an anthem for late summer with Love Somebody Else.

On the A-side, Eric Estornel, also known as Maceo Plex, revives an unreleased remix by Jon DaSilva of Colourblind's cover of The Jones Girls' 1979 classic, You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else. After falling in love with the lost remix during the intense days of the early 90s, Eric arranged a studio session with legendary Hacienda DJ Jon DaSilva to create a newly reinterpreted version of the track, remaking everything and creating new melodies and sound structures. Furthermore, he managed to contact classic house singer Joi Cardwell to record new vocals, resulting in a true dancefloor hit. Irresistibly warm, smooth, and groovy, Love Somebody Else is simply massive.

On the B-side, Maceo Plex goes solo and presents Future Musik, a tribute to a favorite Closer Musik track that was never officially released.

Chilean-German duo Closer Musik (Dirk Leyers & Matias Aguayo) released several brilliant pieces of electronic music about a decade ago on the mythical Kompakt Recordings label. Maceo Plex's reinterpretation and performance of their untitled work employs rich layers of melting pads and relaxed hi-hats, until a powerful bassline breaks into the calm, while Maceo's enveloping vocals work their magic.
