Gerald Mitchell is one of the most respected names in the scene. His vast catalog of releases has helped shape techno and electro on multiple occasions, and among his many seminal EPs is this one, originally released in 1999. It came out on Metroplex, was out of print for a long time, and now returns in a very welcome reissue thanks to Rawax Motor City Edition.

"Celestial Highways" is raw, fast-paced electro-techno, with psychedelic synth sequences. "Dream Traveler" is even rawer, frayed, and urgent, and "Astral Ancestors" combines jacked drums with sci-fi synth modulations. It still sounds futuristic.
