LYAM welcomes the duo M1NT and STRNGE with Spheres, an impressive EP that captures the essence of stargazing in the early hours, total introspection, and a deep immersion in emotions.

M1NT and STRNGE, known as NRMNT, have built a very solid sonic foundation that expresses itself broadly thanks to an organic and refined approach, allowing intimacy, emotion, and atmosphere to take center stage. They combine their production knowledge with M1NT's trumpet—a central element of their distinctive sound—and move naturally through different territories of electronic music, drawing inspiration from gentle undulations, tonal waves, and euphoric melodic frequencies, always with a strong emphasis on musical evolution.

Spheres perfectly encapsulates their musicality, allowing each piece to grow and transform as the EP unfolds.

“New Horizons” shines with a hopeful air: synths that evoke sun-drenched skies and a sense of optimism, while M1NT's trumpet appears with elegant interventions and expressive harmonic lines over soft but determined percussion.

The title track first relies on a dreamy synth introduction before energetic drums come in; its polyrhythmic keyboards and precise groove generate a sense of spiritual liberation.

“Let Go” explores the emotional power of melodic sounds, with ethereal details that create an almost divine atmosphere and flashes of contained intensity as its undulating approach slowly envelops the listener.

Edmondson's remix of “New Horizons” takes the main motifs, softens the percussion, and rearranges the mix to allow new elements to emerge, creating a playful dialogue between the trumpet and a creative vocal sample, resulting in a brilliant interpretation that pays homage to the original.
