Italian techno authors Luigi Tozzi and Antonio Ruscito join forces for a potent four-track session of deep, mid-tempo techno pressure, their first collaboration on the always reliable Dutch label ARTS. Throughout the EP, the duo traverses shadowy rhythmic territories and immersive atmospheres with precise control and remarkable restraint.

Opener “Heat” sets the pulse with a slow-burning drag, driven by stuttering percussions and lysergic acid filigrees that drift in and out of the mix like smoke. “Cube” continues with a colder, more ominous energy: bubbling acid pulses ride over a cavernous background and ghostly vocal fragments that build a menacing tension. On the B-side, “Closer” dials back the intensity into a melancholic, emotive drift, where glacial tempos and hazy synth layers evoke a deeply introspective mood. The closer, “Alodrone,” opens in ambient mode, deploying a panoramic drone before detonating into weighty kicks, ready to inaugurate your next set.
