Veteran house architect Louie Vega released his latest full-length album, ‘Expansions In The NYC,’ as a new tribute to 50 years of dance music history in New York City. The record was packed with vocal collaborations and explored territories ranging from disco and boogie to all facets of house.

‘Touch The Sky,’ featuring Tony Momrelle, is the latest track from the album to receive a full set of remixes, following in the footsteps of ‘All My Love’ late last year.

The first to offer his own vision is Japanese Masaki Morii, a regular on labels like King Street and Shelter, as well as the founder of M2SOUL MUSIC & NU ONE. His sound connects soul, deep house, and afro house, always charged with emotion. His first remix unfurls a lush overlay of light drums and ascending melodies, while the original vocals provide a strong melancholic soulful charge. It's an invigorating piece, designed for a moment of celebration and absolute liberation, demonstrating how musical and refined house can be in the right hands. The Extended Dub and Instrumental versions reveal distinct nuances of the original without losing its luminous and optimistic essence.

Brandon Weems and Craig Handfield form Musclecars, a duo that places community at the heart of their musical vision. From appearing on major magazine covers to performances at Panoramabar and their residency at Nowadays in New York, they have developed a fresh and authentic sound that draws from soul, jazz, and disco, reflected on labels like BBE, Rhythm Section, and their own label Coloring Lessons.

Their majestic 10-minute remix is a soulful deep house odyssey, designed to nourish and enrich. The soaring vocals emerge from a place of love, while jazzy melodies and lush percussion convey warmth; at the same time, pianos and synthesizers enter into a dialogue full of energy and joy. The dub version returns the focus to more robust and bouncy drums, accompanied by more restrained and nocturnal melodies, while the instrumental leaves room for each element to breathe fully.
