Locklead arrives on LOCUS with a quartet of cuts on his ‘Blue Monday’ EP.

An artist undoubtedly on a roll, following releases on Dungeon Meat, Vatos Locos, Dark Side Of The Sun and his debut album ‘Square One’ on Up The Stuss, the Utrecht producer continues to solidify himself as one of the most exciting emerging talents in the Netherlands house scene. Showing no signs of slowing down, his new release is another statement of intent as he debuts on FUSE’s sister label, LOCUS. Following multiple appearances at the imprint's London showcases, he now delivers four expansive and diverse cuts exhibiting the breadth of his sound on the ‘Blue Monday’ EP.

A track that has been a subject of ID requests for months, the title cut ‘Blue Monday’ kicks things off in fine style – infectious vocals and spiralling synths are layered atop a hypnotic bassline, delivering a tried and tested peak-time anthem. ‘Join The Tribe’ leans into tight and rolling grooves, driven by crisp organic percussion, rumbling basslines and warped samples, whilst ‘Orbiting’ is an ideal late-night space-funk trip. To close, Locklead eases back and serves up a classy house cut, as rich chords, swinging drums, and hazy vocals engulf the track and round off the EP.
