With Zera, Len Faki returns to Figure with a precisely focused EP that navigates between raw, hard-hitting dancefloor functionality and more open, atmospheric moments. Across five tracks, he explores distinct variations of groove, texture, and energy, balancing direct and effective structures with a more fluid and spacious approach.

The opening cut, Maschine Girl, relies on a restless, constantly driving groove. Precise percussion and compact bass create immediate energy, while sharp synth fragments and metallic accents add a tense, nervous character. The track remains stripped-down and efficient, allowing its consistent progression and controlled tension to propel the energy.

Kobold continues with a darker, more twisted atmosphere. Distorted synth figures intertwine with a solid rhythmic foundation, giving the track a slightly mischievous character without losing its firm, concentrated momentum. The interaction between tonal movement and well-seated percussion keeps the groove dynamic without deviating from its main focus.

Closing side A, Maschine Girl (Version) reapproaches the initial theme from a different perspective. Its elements have been subtly adjusted and rebalanced, shifting the focus even further towards rhythm and direct impact. More stripped-down and functional, it moves with a sharper, clearly club-oriented feel.

On side B, Zera unfolds with a greater sense of spaciousness. Hypnotic synth movements and layered atmospheres rest upon a solid bass structure, gradually increasing intensity while maintaining a deep, immersive flow. The track finds its strength in a slow and constant evolution that traps the listener within its transforming sonic architecture.

To conclude the release, Zera (Hardspace Mix) reimagines the original from a heavier, more physical perspective. The groove becomes more pronounced and the rhythmic pressure more direct, compacting the structure into a dense, floor-oriented tool that emphasizes impact and propulsion.

With Zera, Len Faki delivers a cohesive and versatile release that connects raw, hard-hitting tools with broader, early-morning grooves, reaffirming the breadth of resources and creative flexibility that have characterized his work in recent years.
