Lavan For - The Love EP [Ascension On Wax]

What's up for the second release on House Music imprint Ascension on Wax, AoW co-founder Lavan drops his For The Love EP. This raw, authentic, and party-ready release is probably his best work to date and carries the purity of the old-school house sound, whilst bringing it into the present. Lavan's notorious use of MPC sampling and borrowed synths flows throughout the EP, along with beautiful jazz elements. Hydro-trip specialist Black Eyes closes the EP with an underground, downtempo remix that pays homage to the iconic Detroit sound, championed by the late Mike Huckaby, amongst many others.

For The Love EP follows Lavan's It's Happening EP on SlothBoogie, released earlier in 2024, and his feature in DJ Mag's emerging artists section. This is a gentleman who is proving his dedication to his craft.
